One of the drawbacks of doing a full on Energetic Therapy of restructuring the body to heal childhood trauma is that it can be expensive. Consulting with trauma therapists who use the Client-directed Energetic approach presented here in an individual or group setting is far more productive than talk therapy and other forms of trauma therapy which in turn makes it very cost effective. Yet, clients who are in for the long haul can spend a good deal of money on their healing. I believe that this cost of healing oneself is totally worth it. I have done this and many of my clients have done so as well as evidenced by their cases which I present in this handbook. However, there is another very cost effective and productive approach to doing Energetic Trauma Healing Therapy. It uses peer co-counseling to great advantage in what we call Fire Circles. In his approach clients do their energetic healing in peer trios using the Client-directed Energetic Co-counseling Protocols presented later in this handbook to guide their trauma healing work as they take turns being the Focus Person who does the work, the Assist person who helps the Focus Person do the work, and the Coach & Safety Person who helps keep the work on track and done safely. I and my colleagues have used this approach in our private practices with great results and have, due to COVID, adapted it to be used on Zoom type platforms. We have also developed an organization and training to further the approach. It is called The Fire Circle Project. For more information, see the chapter on Using Client-directed Energetic Co-counseling Therapy for more on this Fire Circle approach or visit our website at www.innovationsinhealingtrauma.com.
