Leland W. Howe, PhD, is Director of The Center for Innovations in Healing Trauma and has a private psychotherapy practice doing Energetic Trauma Healing Therapy in Lyons, Michigan. He is author & co-author of numerous professional books and articles including the ground-breaking Grab the Tiger by the Tail as well as the best-selling Values Clarification Handbook, which was in print for over 25 years, winner of the Pi Lambda Theta Outstanding Book of the Year Award, which sold almost one million copies. He has served as a consultant, workshop leader, presenter, and speaker to over 125 universities, public & private schools, government agencies, and health organizations in the U.S., Brazil, and Europe on a wide range of psychological, health, and educational topics. He was a Professor of Education at Temple University doing research in psychological education, Director of the Temple University Doctoral Program in Humanistic Education, and winner of the Temple University Lindback Distinguished Teaching Award. He also has an MSW and is trained in Family Systems Therapy.
Rob Curtner, MA, was trained in Emphatic Listening Skills and became the President of Dymaxion Corporation, a training services provider. He completed a master’s degree in communications which then led to a series of clinical and program director positions with public and private substance abuse agencies. He successfully directed an organizational development and curriculum development firm, Metalearners for 25 years. Rob worked with Leland Howe in group and individual body-centered psychotherapy training and growth settings for over 20 years and helped evaluate and protocote the Innovations in Healing Trauma Energetic Therapy Approach. His post-graduate training included work in NLP, Senge’s Learning Organization, and Wilber’s Integral Theory.
Rev. Karen L. Arndorfer, MA, has worked for over 30 years in the delivery and management of health and wellness services in her jobs in hospital settings, outpatient substance abuse programs and in her “Transformation Pathways” private counseling practice. Karen has a Master’s in counseling psychology, is ordained as a trans-denominational minister, and has received training in Esoteric Healing, Psychodrama, Neurolinguistic Programming, Bioenergetic Analysis, and Toltec Energy Work to name a few. She has led personal and corporate workshops on body-centered approaches to change and grow. Karen assisted Leland Howe in the development of Innovations in Healing Trauma (IHT) approach to Energetic Trauma Healing Therapy. She worked with Leland as an individual and group counseling co-facilitator and as a co-trainer in the IHT workshops and training programs.
Terrie MacNicol, CET, has been on a spiritual journey of self-healing and personal transformation for over 27 years. She spent years utilizing traditional therapy plus energy healing and body awareness techniques to work through the effects of significant past trauma. After being introduced to Innovations in Healing Trauma, she recognized its profound impact on her healing journey. Having worked with Leland as an individual and as a co-trainer in the IHT workshops, and as a long-standing member of a leadership circle, she has received practical training in this revolutionary approach to dealing with past trauma. She was also on the team that developed and conducted the first workshop on Spontaneous Energetic Healing. She has received a certification in Energetic Therapy along with training in Esoteric Healing, Reiki and other healing modalities. As an entrepreneur, Terrie has owned and operated several businesses along with EWH Press, which published Dr. Howe’s first book Grab the Tiger by the Tail: The Revolutionary Spontaneous Energetic and Trauma Healing Process.
